Made in Italy, Atelier Lau’s making process reflects a commitment to elevating knitwear to a new standard. We take time to select the highest quality yarns including our signature merino and carefully develop each garment to achieve an exceptionally soft hand feel. We are devoted to bringing you the ultimate tactile luxury, weaving comfort and refined tailoring.
I. OUR KNITWEAR STANDARD
For our knitwear production, we partnered with a second generation family owned maglificio in Italy with over 50 years of tradition. An atelier known for the mastery of quality knitwear and responsible craftsmanship.
Together we prioritise the highest quality yarns that are sourced from leading Italian spinners, long lasting and luxuriously soft, offering authentic value for money.
Each Atelier Lau piece undergoes a rigorous refinement process, from yarn selection and garment development to knitting technique, experimentation and final finishing, to achieve our distinct feel and silhouette.
II. OUR SIGNATURE FIBRES
Our foundational pieces are crafted from merino wool, chosen for its rare equilibrium of durability, elegance, and tactile refinement. We sought to give merino an exceptionally soft, almost cashmere-like feel, while preserving its natural structure and drape. We use two types of high quality merino wool, made in Italy.
